Is India-Israel relationship maintainable?

Many pundits in India continue to gaze at the India-Israel relationship through the lens of Palestine. However, some argue that it is critical to de-hyphenate India’s relations with Israel and Palestine, a process that began in 1992 when New Delhi established diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv and which has gathered steam since then. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel earlier this month made this de-hyphenation blatant and conspicuous. Boosting trade and investment ties found explicit mention in the India-Israel joint statement during Mr. Modi’s visit. To encourage bilateral investments, Mr. Modi and his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, also agreed to conduct negotiations on a bilateral investment treaty (BIT).

Dengue fever menace in TN

In June, the TN state recorded around 1,200 dengue cases , taking the total number of those affected to 4,400 since January -- the second highest in the country after Kerala. "We are coordinating with officials across the border and sharing our resources, including videos andother awareness campaign materials to eliminate mosquito breeding sites," said health minister C Vijayabaskar. Healthcare facilities close to the border are receivinffg patients from the neighbouring states and their details are notified to their respective district officials. The municipal administration within the state is supporting the health department in cleaning drives and testing filters of water treatment plants attached to various local bodies. Officials say drinking water stored in large containers in Chennai and surrounding districts to tide over the water crisis, and stagnant rainwater in western districts, have led to an uptick in mosquito population.

What is Big Data and what is its 3 definitions.

Big data is a term that describes the large volume of data – both structured and unstructured – the that inundates a business on a day-to-day basis. But it’s not the amount of data that’s important. It’s what organizations do with the data that matters. Big data can be analyzed for insights that lead to better  and stategic business moves.         While the term “big data” is relatively new, the act of gathering and storing large amounts of information for eventual analysis is ages old. The concept gained momentum in the early 2000s when industry analyst Doug Laney articulated the now-mainstream definition of big data as the three Vs: Volume.  Organizations collect data from a variety of sources, including business transactions, social media and information from sensor or machine-to-machine data. In the past, storing it would’ve been a problem – but new technologies (such as Hadoop) have eased the burden. Velocity.  Data streams in at an unprecedented speed and must

What is internet of Things (IoT)

Internet of Things definition : The vast network of devices connected to the Internet, including smart phones and tablets and almost anything with a sensor on it – cars, machines in production plants, jet engines, oil drills, wearable devices, and more. These “things” collect and exchange data.   IoT – and the machine-to-machine (M2M) technology behind it – are bringing a kind of “super visibility” to nearly every industry. Imagine utilities and telcos that can predict and prevent service outages, airlines that can remotely monitor and optimise plane performance, and healthcare organisations that can base treatment on real-time genome analysis. The business possibilities are endless.

Trump's attitude towards Syria and Assad has changed very much.

Obama was widely criticized for his inaction in the Syrian civil war. His failure to act on the “red line” ultimatum he declared against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons remains one of the most scarring events in his administration. In April, Trump was quick to react with a one-off strike of his own after the Syrian government killed scores of civilians in an apparent chemical attack. But the attack was mostly seen as a show of force rather than part of a broad strategy in the war-torn country.  Pentagon officials have emphasized they will keep the United States out of the conflict and have pushed back against a proposal, favored by some White House officials, to prevent Assad and his Iranian allies from moving toward parts of southern Syria occupied by the Islamic State. But the White House agreed in early July to cooperate with Russia in backing a civil war cease-fire in the southwestern corner of the country.

Ram Nath Kovind wins race to Raisina, elected 14th President of India

As was expected, NDA Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind was elected as the 14th President of India. The former Governor of Bihar was a masterstroke decision by the NDA considering that while Kovind has good credentials, he is also a Dalit candidate and his win would make him the second Dalit President of India. Most parties who were on the fence about supporting the BJP were left with no choice as they did not want to be seen as opposing a Dalit candidate. Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi's decision to put forth Meira Kumar's name was in retaliation to the NDA's move.  A day before the election to the top constitutional post, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had congratulated NDA pick Ram Nath Kovind "in advance" and assured him that his government would support him wholeheartedly.  The numbers had favoured Kovind as the ruling coalition had secured the support of two-third of the electoral votes. However, since it was a secret ballot, Opposition chief Sonia Gan
